Ways of Working
Our ambition is to strengthen UK efforts in the response to Malaria and develop linkages between, and within, North and South in particular with other coalitions.
UK CAM is committed to encouraging networking and information-sharing with its members to ensure that messages reach wider audience. It is also committed to working with organisations and advocates involved in Malaria and Global Health related issues such as HIV and AIDS, women, children, and poverty.
We aim to strengthen the role of civil society and acknowledge the need for complimentarity between the business sector, academics, trade unions, NGOs, faith groups and other Non-State actors (including the private sector). We recognise the crucial role each has in advocating and holding decision makers and donors to account.
We aim to generate and increase media coverage of and support for malaria interventions by working with journalists. This collaboration will contribute to awareness activities to reach both decision makers and the public.
We are working with Parliamentarians to help us increase the policy debate both nationally and internationally, and advocate for the necessary allocation of resources to tackle malaria head on.
We are working with individuals and activists who do not want to remain silent about this human tragedy and who want to add their voice and commitment to building a Malaria movement.
